Hello Sweet Babes in Bible Study!
How's it going this week? I've got something on my mind and of course, I wanted to share.
Let me tell you this: if there is one thing I need to do more of, it is memorize God's Word. So I am committing to memorizing a verse during our study. The one I'm choosing is Hebrews 11:1.
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
Short and sweet so surely I can remember it. If I get really sassy, I might add Hebrews 11:6.
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
I love them both. So anybody game to join in? No pressure but I'll be glad to be accountable with you. And choose any verse; it doesn't necessarily have to be from Hebrews 11. I think anytime we hide God's Word in our hearts, He will honor it.
So, anyone up for the challenge?

Week One Video
Well babes, we are on our way. I thought the first video was short, sweet and a great reminder to apply what we learn. My takeaway so far after watching the video and doing some of the homework is this. Enoch walked with God, Noah walked with God, Moses walked with God........
Am I walking with God? Sometimes, yes, sometimes no. I hate to say that as a recovering approval addict, I way too often look to man for the approval that I can see with my eyes, hear with my ears and feel with a touch. When I am walking with man, I need all of that and it is never enough. I long for a rest from my need for man's approval. As I read Hebrews 11, I am reminded that my rest will only come as I consistently, intentionally and faithfully walk a walk of seeking Him. He rewards that kind of walk with the rest and peace of knowing that I don't have to DO anything else for Him. All I have to do is follow Him.
Here is an oldie but a goodie for you. Remember this old Carole King song? imagine it like this:
God singing to us:
"Loving you the way I do
I only wanna be with you
And I will go
To the ends of the earth,
Cause darling, to me that's what you're worth
Chorus - my response:
Where You lead, I will follow
Anywhere that You tell me to
If You need, if You need me to be with you
I will follow
Where You lead.
God again:
If you're out on the road
Feelin' lonely and so cold
All you have to do is call My name
And I'll be there on the next train
and us:
Where You lead, I will follow.......
One of those songs that might be good to have stuck in our brain for awhile so I will leave you with that for today.
